From looking over several websites that provided information about the town of Winnsboro I developed a rough idea of what the town's culture and community are like. I see Winnsboro as a small quaint town of around 3500 to 3600 residents who are proud of their community’s history and culture. They have numerous community activities throughout the year such as car shows, live music, art trails and much more. The community also has strong ties to the outdoors. It is very close to one of the world’s premier bass fishing lakes, Lake Fork, which has tournaments year around. There are several ranches in the area that provide hunting opportunities for deer, hogs, exotics and birds. One of the things they are most proud of in Winnsboro is the Autumn Trails that start in Winnsboro and snake their way through the densely forested country roads surrounding it. Since its founding Winnsboro has been billed as “trails country.” Another activity the community is involved in is the local Texas music scene. There is the Crossroads Music Company and Listening Room, which provides live music year around.

Most all of the websites give a statement on where the town of Winnsboro is located relatively to other towns, cities and landmarks. They also give some form of a historical background about the town. The between all of the websites there is a bountiful amount of information about the town of Winnsboro. The city’s online site is by far the most helpful and relevant when trying to find information about the area and upcoming events. The only negative I found so far was there was not much information about keeping and restoring the historical downtown together.
